Today we had our latest appointment with the doctor to make sure everything was still on track, ask questions, and run some tests. This appointment was the first time we've met our new doctor (last time we met with his nurse), and although our opinions varied the appointment went well.
Without going into too much detail, Jill wasn't very happy with the way the doctor answered some of her questions, mostly because the answers could be summed up as "whatever!". To elaborate on that, he was just a very "go with the flow", "don't worry about it", and "just let things happen" kind of doctor, which I assume comes from 30 years of delivering babies and dealing with stressed out pregnant women.
I think Jill will warm up to him, as I thought he was a nice guy.
Other than answering questions, Jill had some blood drawn which is used to test for any problems with the baby, and determine our risk. We should have the results in a week, or as the doctor would say "if you don't hear from us in a week, then there's not a problem." -- like I said, go with the flow people! :-)
The ultrasound is on 4/9, and the doctor told us that we have about a 95% chance of finding out what the sex of the baby is, which we're both excited about. On the way home from the doctor we both "feel" like it is going to be a girl, even though we'll be happy regardless of the sex.

Jon says - Eric, you're screwed. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhich basically means, it doesn't matter what you think about the doctor, it's up to (and will all be up to) Mama Jill moving forward. :-P
Other than a lukewarm reaction on the doc, glad everything went well and I can't wait to hear what the sex is next week!! :)
Look at that belly! It's like there is something growing inside!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you guys!!
